About the position

The Swift Group is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform DevOps Engineer to establish cloud environments and manage computer networking, storage, and virtual networks. This role involves leading a team of cloud architects and engineers to support clients in modernizing their IT infrastructures. The engineer will apply DevOps principles to provision virtual machines and networks, utilizing cloud service providers to achieve client objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Set up cloud environments and provision computer networking, storage, and virtual networks.
  • Oversee a team of cloud architects and engineers managing server configuration for modern cloud solutions.
  • Establish or provision virtual machines or networks using cloud service providers.
  • Drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments.
  • Troubleshoot, triage, and resolve issues related to CI/CD pipeline failures or slowness.
  • Deploy active AWS or Azure services using Infrastructure-as-Code technologies like CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Provision, install, configure, operate, and maintain software and infrastructure-as-code in a DevOps environment.
  • Develop API solutions using Infrastructure-as-Code and Cloud-oriented strategies.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in developing tools and processes for DevOps or DevSecOps maturity.
  • 8+ years of experience troubleshooting CI/CD pipeline issues.
  • 5+ years of experience with commercial Cloud service providers (AWS or Azure).
  • Experience with containers, serverless architecture, micro-services, Web services, and RESTful API design.
  • Experience deploying AWS or Azure services using Infrastructure-as-Code technologies.
  • Experience with automated deployment and testing frameworks in a continuous delivery environment.
  • Experience developing CI/CD solutions for Cloud-based environments.
  • Experience working in an Agile and version-controlled environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with development to build, troubleshoot, and deploy CI/CD artifacts to production environments.
  • Experience with multiple CI/CD and Agile Development tools, including GitLab, Atlassian, and Jenkins.
  • Experience with developing Linux-based solutions using commercial Cloud.
  • Experience with deploying and managing logging and monitoring solutions.
