About the position

The Senior Cloud Security Engineer role at a geospatial software startup focuses on enhancing security and compliance within Google Cloud Platform infrastructure. The position requires a blend of DevOps and security expertise, particularly in regulated environments, to ensure adherence to standards like ISO270001 and NIST-800-171. The role is remote with occasional travel to the Houston office, emphasizing collaboration in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Focus on Google Cloud Platform infrastructure security and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to ISO270001 and NIST-800-171 standards.
• Work on new developments in a collaborative environment.
• Utilize security tools such as Crowdstrike Falcon, Twingate, and LastPass.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps.
• Security compliance experience with ISO 270001 and/or NIST 800-171.
• Experience scripting in Python, Bash, and Shell.
• Familiarity with security tools like Crowdstrike Falcon, Twingate, LastPass, TOTP auth apps, and MFA hardware keys.
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform; AWS experience is also acceptable.
• Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.
• Experience in a startup environment preferred.
