About the position

The Senior Cloud Security Engineer at Iterable is responsible for safeguarding sensitive customer data, enhancing the company's security posture, and improving cloud security capabilities through automation, assessments, and technical reviews. This role involves collaboration across teams during the development lifecycle and reporting to the Senior Manager of Product Security.

Responsibilities

• Review system designs and implementations, consulting with engineers to identify and remediate security issues.
• Leverage expertise to propose solutions and drive architectural improvements addressing security vulnerabilities.
• Develop and implement cloud and infrastructure security architecture, contributing to overall strategy and roadmap plans.
• Participate in the selection, design, development, implementation, and management of automated security testing tools.
• Promote DevSecOps principles and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scanning and policy enforcement.
• Coordinate and participate in penetration tests of cloud services.

Requirements

• Experience providing cloud security subject matter expertise to external teams.
• Solid understanding of cloud security vulnerabilities, defense techniques, and security best practices, particularly AWS security practices.
• Knowledge of system and infrastructure hardening and monitoring best practices in a cloud environment.
• Experience with modern cloud infrastructure including EC2, EKS, Kubernetes, and data stores.
• Strong working knowledge of AWS services and security concepts including IAM, VPCs, and Security Groups.
• Proficiency in an AWS-compatible programming language such as Python, Ruby, Java, or Go.

Nice-to-haves

• Working knowledge of Elastic Container Service (ECS) is a plus.
