About the position

The Senior Cloud Security Engineer at AIG will lead cloud security engineering efforts, focusing on the Prisma Cloud Security suite. This role is crucial for securing enterprise-level cloud services across multiple providers, ensuring the protection of cloud workloads and data. The engineer will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in cloud security, mentoring junior team members and collaborating with various information security teams to address critical security risks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cloud security engineering efforts related to the Prisma Cloud Security suite.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for cloud security within the Information Security Organization.
  • Assess cloud service offerings from AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to identify threats, risks, and controls.
  • Mentor junior team members and developers on cloud security threats and risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with other information security teams to address critical security risks.
  • Monitor and address cloud security risk-related issues within the IT environment.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce cloud security policies and procedures.
  • Work with vendors on roadmap development and strategic direction for security enhancements.
  • Collaborate with security architecture and remediation teams on architecture blueprints and policies.
  • Lead the development of security policies, standards, and procedures for cloud-based applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in cloud security or related roles.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with Cloud Security Posture management solutions.
  • Deep understanding of cloud/cloud hybrid platforms and associated security tools.
  • Proficiency in implementing security measures in cloud-native environments such as Kubernetes.
  • Certification in Prisma Certified Cloud Security Engineer (PCCSE) or Palo Alto Networks Systems Engineer - Prisma Cloud Associate is desired.

Nice-to-haves

  • Additional certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, Security+, foundational/associate/security tracks for Azure, AWS, GCP.
