About the position

As a Senior Cloud Support Engineer at CVS Health, you will be a key member of the Data and Analytics organization, responsible for managing and administering Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services for enterprise applications. Your role will involve providing support to data engineers and end users, ensuring the smooth operation of GCP services, and collaborating with security and cloud platform teams to adhere to enterprise policies and standards.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage GCP resources and services used by data engineering applications.
• Configure and support cloud infrastructure for data pipelines for batch and real-time streams.
• Review solution designs prior to deployments to ensure best practices and compliance with security policies.
• Manage data traffic for workloads, including capacity planning and cloud cost forecasting.
• Research new technologies to support development for proof of concepts of data engineering solutions.
• Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance and cost-efficiency.
• Identify and troubleshoot infrastructure and application deployment issues.

Requirements

• Google Cloud Certified Cloud Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of GCP infrastructure ecosystem with 2+ years of experience in managing compute, storage, networking, database, Security & IAM.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering as an administrator with Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Google SDK, GCloud utility, Google CLI, Dataflow, Healthcare API, Service Account management, and Secret Manager.
• 1+ years of experience in managing cloud workloads with emphasis on pipeline throughput and API response time.
• 1+ years of experience in building Infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred).
• Proficiency with Google Cloud Monitoring and knowledge of integrating third-party observability tools.
