About the position

The position involves adapting equipment through the development of new designs and specifications, as well as supervising installations. The role focuses on enhancing team capabilities by providing technical guidance, mentoring, and training, while also ensuring compliance with production requirements and equipment capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new designs and specifications for equipment adaptation.
  • Supervise installations and monitor compliance with specifications.
  • Enhance staff accomplishments by planning delivery of solutions and answering technical questions.
  • Teach improved processes and mentor less experienced team members.
  • Determine new specifications by studying production requirements and analyzing equipment design.
  • Write new operating instructions, programs, and controls for equipment.
  • Conduct training for operators and prepare reference materials.
  • Maintain equipment by determining preventive and routine maintenance requirements.
  • Participate in educational opportunities to update job knowledge.

Requirements

  • Experience with CAD and CAD/CAM software.
  • Ability to program Siemens PLCs.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Ability to deal with complexity in engineering tasks.
  • Leadership and supervision experience.
  • Knowledge of hardware specifications and manufacturing methods.
  • Understanding of manufacturing quality standards.
  • Experience in training and mentoring team members.
