About the position

The Commercial Application Support Engineer will play a crucial role in the day-to-day support of the SAP ERP system, specifically focusing on Sales & Distribution, Order to Cash, Pricing, and the interfaces to other Sales & Commercial applications. This position requires a subject matter expert who can assist end users, peers, and external vendors in managing enhancements and providing support across all Breakthru Beverage locations. The role operates in a hybrid capacity, allowing for flexibility in work location, with options to be based in Phoenix, AZ, Las Vegas, NV, or Linthicum, Maryland. In this role, the engineer will document and communicate requirements generated by IT peers or users to effectively manage the development and support processes, ensuring that they meet high levels of quality, security, and performance. The engineer will also troubleshoot and provide resolutions to end-user related issues as a level 2 support resource across the company. Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for documenting design and development work in accordance with change management procedures, assisting IT peers and users in problem-solving or developing enhancements, and analyzing existing software programs and procedures to recommend additional programming methods or routines that improve efficiency. Basic configuration and setup to facilitate new functionality will also be part of the responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Document and communicate requirements generated by IT peers or users.
  • Troubleshoot and provide resolutions to end-user related issues as a level 2 support resource.
  • Document design and development work in line with change management procedures.
  • Assist IT peers and users to solve problems or develop enhancements.
  • Analyze existing software programs and procedures, recommending additional programming methods to improve efficiency.
  • Perform basic configuration and setup to facilitate new functionality.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of total experience in implementing and supporting an ERP system.
  • Demonstrated ability to support and implement high availability software solutions.
  • 2+ years implementing and supporting systems in a highly automated and cross-platform ERP environment.
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of Sales & Distribution, Order to Cash, and Pricing in a highly automated environment.
  • 3+ years of full project lifecycle management experience, including requirements gathering, writing functional specs, developing prototypes, data mapping, functional testing, user acceptance testing, documentation, and training.
  • Strong ability to analyze complex problems within applications and work with other areas to isolate and resolve issues.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the wholesale distribution industry preferred.
