About the position

As a Senior Commercial Architect within the Strategic Pricing & Insights Group at EY, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the financial, commercial, and competitive strategies for some of EY's largest and most complex business opportunities. This position is designed for individuals who thrive in a dynamic, matrixed environment and possess a strong ability to balance client needs with business objectives. You will be responsible for leading teams in the development of competitive pricing strategies, ensuring that EY's offerings are not only compelling but also aligned with market benchmarks and client expectations. Your expertise will be crucial in negotiating and closing new business opportunities, where you will leverage competitive intelligence and internal cost structures to maximize margins and mitigate risks. In this role, you will engage in comprehensive competitive analysis, which includes refining offer designs, balancing pricing strategies, and ensuring that the commercial structures align with client value metrics. You will also be tasked with creating client-facing financial and commercial documents, assisting in negotiations, and articulating the value proposition at the highest levels within EY and to clients. Your ability to inspire and coach others will be essential as you work collaboratively with various stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives and enhance win rates. The position requires a deep understanding of financial modeling, pricing strategies, and commercial structures, as well as strong relationship management and communication skills. You will be expected to deliver exceptional client service by building insights ahead of the market and creating innovative commercial structures that position EY teams for success. Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of competitive pricing strategies for EY's largest and most complex opportunities.
  • Conduct comprehensive competitive analysis to refine offer designs and mitigate risks.
  • Balance proposed price points against market benchmarks and competitor positioning.
  • Incorporate market intelligence to increase differentiation and test client willingness to pay.
  • Design and execute commercial structures aligned with client value metrics.
  • Create client-facing financial, business, and commercial documents.
  • Assist in client negotiations and articulate the deal construct and value proposition.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives and increase win odds.

Requirements

  • 10-12+ years of experience in a professional services environment, preferably in pricing, strategy consulting, or commercial management.
  • Expert proficiency in financial modeling, accounting, budgeting, and associated metrics.
  • Proven track record in designing and structuring deals with various pricing strategies.
  • Strong pursuit management and relationship management skills.
  • High proficiency in managing conflicting interests and dealing with ambiguity.
  • Highly effective oral and written communication skills.
  • A University/Bachelor's Degree.
