About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Commercial Banking Portfolio Manager to join the Market Coverage team within Commercial Banking. This role focuses on financial research, underwriting, and structuring complex private banking and consumer relationships. The position emphasizes collaboration, leadership, and mentorship within the team, aiming to meet project deliverables while adhering to compliance and risk management standards.

Responsibilities

• Participate in performing financial research, underwriting, and structuring of highly complex private banking and consumer relationships.
• Review and research business financial statements and tax returns requiring in-depth evaluation.
• Resolve moderately complex issues and lead the Commercial Banking Portfolio Management team to meet project deliverables.
• Collaborate and consult with peers and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
• Lead projects and teams or serve as a mentor for less experienced individuals.

Requirements

• 4+ years of Commercial Banking Portfolio Management experience or equivalent through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
• Loan negotiation experience including rates, terms, and collateral requirements.
• Underwriting experience including advanced commercial or specialty group relationship portfolio credit.
• Extensive knowledge of credit policy, loan servicing, risk management, and group underwriting requirements.
• Knowledge of commercial and specialty group banking products and services.
• 4+ years of commercial underwriting experience.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong analytical skills including analyzing complex data.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• A BS/BA degree or higher.
