About the position

The Senior Commercial Credit Analyst at First Citizens Bank is a hybrid role focused on high-level analysis and data expertise to assess factors affecting business profitability, growth, and efficiency. The position involves evaluating current practices, collecting industry trends, and developing specifications to support business initiatives. The analyst will also implement process improvements and participate in special analytical projects, providing leadership within the work group through specialized knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Deliver trusted report and analytical solutions for portfolio monitoring and identification of emerging risks within Credit Administration.
• Partner with key stakeholders in Credit Administration and various internal lines of defense to create meaningful analytical content.
• Create, develop, and nurture a 'trusted advisor' atmosphere, anticipating reporting and analytics needs.
• Design, create, and enhance reports and Tableau dashboards based on stakeholder requirements.
• Generate ad-hoc and recurring reports, presentations, and memos by analyzing complex datasets and understanding economic conditions.
• Attend Credit Administration meetings to stay informed about emerging risks and changes in credit policies.
• Continuously enhance knowledge of analytical tools and proactively seek opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Analytics, modeling, or reporting OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Analytics, modeling, or reporting.
• Proficient in SAS applications, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Database management experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Banking and Finance Industry, preferably within credit analysis, underwriting, or credit risk oversight.
• Experience using Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
• Experience with Business Intelligence software (Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, and SQL).
