About the position
The Senior Commercial Field Representative is responsible for performing technical inspections of water and electric meters to ensure compliance with regulations. This role involves customer service, investigating service disputes, and supervising field employees. The representative also estimates charges for unmetered services and may investigate irregularities in service connections.
Responsibilities
- Perform highly technical inspections of water and electric meters for compliance with regulations.
- Estimate and set charges for unmetered water and electricity.
- Investigate and resolve customer service disputes regarding electric and water service.
- Record data related to connected loads and rate classification.
- Investigate service irregularities, including illegal wiring or improper connections.
- Provide training and quality assurance to field employees.
- Assign and review work of field employees.
- Supervise employees engaged in field activities.
Requirements
- Two years of full-time paid experience as a Commercial Field Representative or in a similar role.
- Two years of full-time paid experience as a Meter Reader team leader.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in customer service roles related to utilities.
- Knowledge of safety principles and practices required by the Department of Water and Power.
