About the position

As a Senior Commercial Learning and Development Specialist at FinThrive, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the onboarding experience for new commercial team members. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about training and development, particularly in the context of sales onboarding. You will be responsible for managing the entire onboarding training cycle, ensuring that new hires are equipped with the necessary tools and skills to succeed in their roles. Your impact will be felt across the organization as you help new team members navigate enablement tools and resources, and develop essential selling skills to effectively build and manage their sales pipeline. In this role, you will partner with IT and Operations to ensure that new hires have the correct systems access and permissions from day one. You will guide and track each new team member through the onboarding process, ensuring they are supported and engaged throughout their journey. Your expertise in adult learning theory and curriculum design will be crucial as you create engaging training materials that accommodate various learning styles and schedules. You will design and develop interactive learning activities, curate digital content, and create multimedia solutions to enhance the learning experience. Additionally, you will leverage technology to create meaningful engagement opportunities and build reports to track progress. Performance evaluation will be a key component of your responsibilities, as you will develop assessments to ensure learning objectives are met. Collaboration will be essential, as you will work with various departments to coordinate resources and promote a sense of belonging among new employees. Your role will not only focus on training but also on fostering connections and collaboration within the team, ensuring that new hires feel integrated and supported in their new environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the onboarding training program for new commercial team members.
  • Ensure new hires have the correct systems access and permissions.
  • Guide and track new hires from day 1 through onboarding completion.
  • Apply adult learning theory to create engaging curriculum across various methods.
  • Design and develop interactive learning activities and curate digital content.
  • Leverage technology to create engagement opportunities and build reports.
  • Build assessments to track learning throughout the onboarding process.
  • Collaborate with various departments to schedule and prepare materials.
  • Foster connections between new employees and colleagues.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience leading, building, and facilitating sales onboarding programs.
  • Experience applying adult learning theory and curriculum design principles.
  • Excellent communication and team management skills.
  • Clear understanding of a typical sales process and customer journey.
  • Proficiency in learning and enablement technology, Salesforce, and Microsoft products.
  • Experience holding non-direct-reports accountable in a business matrix.
  • Excellence in process documentation.
  • Experience working cross-functionally to gather input and meet stakeholder needs.
