About the position

The Senior Communications and Engagement Specialist focuses on Digital Marketing within the Communications and Engagement Department. This role is responsible for developing and managing communication and engagement strategies, outreach programs, and initiatives that effectively educate and inform the target audience. The position emphasizes collaboration with internal partners to execute strategic communications campaigns and improve the quality of digital marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes communication, marketing, and engagement goals and strategies for programs, services, and events using various platforms.
  • Plans, applies, and evaluates communication methods to increase engagement and brand positioning.
  • Manages the execution of communication and engagement strategies, outreach programs, and message management processes.
  • Coordinates and leads meetings with department partners to implement effective communication strategies.
  • Writes and develops content for marketing efforts.
  • Creates and implements training programs and materials for internal and external use.
  • Monitors and maintains analytics trends of current posts and explores new promotional opportunities.
  • Researches and implements public engagement best practices and industry trends.
  • Responds to community comments and inquiries through social media and Google postings.
  • Supports the Brand Manager in determining graphic design needs for projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications, advertising, public relations, graphic design, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, public relations, communications, website and graphic design, and marketing campaign creation.
  • Experience using a content management system.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with social media management tools.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools for measuring engagement and effectiveness.
