As a Senior Communications Specialist in the Development department at Cincinnati Children's, you will play a pivotal role in leading both internal and external communications for the organization. In this role, you will be responsible for content creation, actively seeking out and developing engaging stories for various communication platforms. You will create and execute comprehensive communication plans, which involve developing, producing, editing, distributing, and tracking content using a multi-media storytelling approach. Identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation will be a crucial part of your responsibilities, as well as collaborating with internal teams to support organizational goals. You will manage projects from inception to completion with moderate supervision, ensuring high-quality outcomes. On the production front, you will develop, produce, and edit major publications and projects. You will write and approve content for the intranet and explore and implement multi-media storytelling techniques. Additionally, you will independently manage small to medium-sized projects and events, ensuring they align with our organizational objectives and standards. Planning is another significant aspect of this role. You will help develop and maintain crisis communication plans and participate in crisis drills and activities. Preparing content for senior leadership approval during emergencies will be essential, and you will train to serve as a spokesperson for the medical center, representing our organization with professionalism and clarity.
