About the position

As a Senior Community Manager at Greystar, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of two or more assigned properties. This role involves overseeing team members, daily activities, and resources to achieve established budgeted financial and operational goals. You will ensure that the operations of the properties comply with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations governing multi-family housing operations, including Fair Housing and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Your responsibilities will include providing input into the development of budgets for assigned properties by analyzing financial statements and evaluating marketing information. You will be tasked with meeting targeted revenues by setting rent rates, ensuring timely collection of rents and fees, and preparing monthly financial status reports. Additionally, you will approve invoices from vendors and contractors, manage expenditures within the approved budget, and oversee the lease enforcement process, which includes approving resident applications and conducting periodic apartment inspections. Promoting resident satisfaction and retention is a key aspect of this role. You will respond to resident complaints and service requests, ensuring that the property maintenance team meets company standards. Regular property inspections will be conducted to maintain safety, cleanliness, and overall appeal. You will also supervise property staff, including hiring, training, and managing performance in accordance with company policies. Finally, you will assist in managing the client/owner relationship by providing updates on property performance and responding to owner requests as needed. This position requires a strong focus on operational excellence and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to residents and clients alike.

  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and appeal of the properties.
  • Supervise property staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Assist in managing the client/owner relationship by providing updates and responding to requests.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in property management or a related field.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budget development and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and implement effective marketing strategies.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and regulations governing multi-family housing operations.
  • Experience in supervising and managing a team of employees.
