About the position

At Bloomberg Finance, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional support to our business partners by providing insights on business performance, financial oversight, and thought leadership. The Global Compensation Team plays a crucial role in managing all aspects of compensation, including program design, strategy, funding, metrics, compliance, analysis, reporting, and tools such as the Bloomberg Online Compensation System. This position offers a unique opportunity to advise senior leaders across the company and globally while collaborating with various partners throughout the organization. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and providing analytics and insights to business managers and leadership. You will offer advisory services on compensation-related issues, including benchmarking, pay-for-performance strategies, and year-end adjustment simulations. Additionally, you will prepare materials such as presentations, memos, and schedules to assist senior leaders in making informed decisions regarding compensation spending, policy, and communication. You will work closely with managers and other departments during the year-end compensation review process and on an ad hoc basis throughout the year. Collaborating with HRIS, Payroll, and Engineering teams will be essential to ensure that systems meet the needs of compensation. Your research into external market data and practices will help relate them to our internal processes, ensuring compliance with country-specific regulations and reporting requirements. Understanding business issues and their relation to compensation will be vital, as departments may seek to address issues by increasing compensation for select individuals rather than exploring alternative solutions. This position requires effective communication, project planning, and the ability to manage expectations while hitting deliverables. You will prepare for meetings with business managers, other departments, and senior leadership, developing and strengthening relationships along the way.
