About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Compensation Analyst (Hybrid Chicago) to join our client's compensation team. Our client is a leader in their industry, providing oversight and guidance to thousands of professionals. This role is critical in developing and managing their compensation programs to ensure they are competitive, equitable, and aligned with the organization's goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in compensation analysis, with a particular focus on writing and evaluating job descriptions. As a Senior Compensation Analyst, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining salary structures, incentive plans, and market pricing. You will create and update accurate job descriptions, benchmark compensation programs against industry standards, and identify trends to provide actionable insights. Adhering to all relevant compensation laws and regulations is essential, as is supporting HR and department leaders with compensation guidance. Additionally, you will prepare and present compensation reports to senior management, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned with the compensation strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred. CCP is a plus
  • Ability to be in the Chicago office 2-3 days a week
  • 4+ years in compensation analysis
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Proficient in HRIS, Excel and compensation tools
  • Knowledge of compensation laws
  • Detail-oriented, independent and discreet
