About the position

The Senior Compensation Analyst, Manufacturing at GAF plays a crucial role in ensuring that the company's compensation practices align with its philosophy. This position involves statistical analysis of compensation data, managing various compensation programs, and collaborating with HR and business leaders to support fair pay practices. The analyst will also assist in the hiring process and translate business needs into technical solutions, contributing to the overall success of the manufacturing team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct statistical analysis, data modeling, and costing of pay programs
  • Provide project management support for various compensation initiatives
  • Consult and advise HR Business Partners on compensation-related questions
  • Evaluate local markets and internal benchmarks to provide recommendations
  • Conduct job evaluations to ensure consistency and adherence to the level structure
  • Participate in annual salary surveys and analyze market trends
  • Assist in modifying/designing new HR policies related to Compensation
  • Collaborate with HRIS to ensure the integrity of employee and job data within Workday
  • Liaise with HRIS to configure compensation-related business processes
  • Analyze and resolve Workday user concerns and educate users on resolutions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Business or Human Resources
  • 5-7 years of HR Compensation experience
  • Experience in the Manufacturing industry
  • Experience using Workday HCM
  • MA in Human Resources, MBA, or CCP is strongly preferred

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiar with standard HR concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Google Suite
  • Knowledge of Workday
