The Senior Compensation Analyst plays a crucial role in the administration and analysis of the company's compensation programs within the Transportation & Logistics industry. This position is responsible for managing compensation projects from inception to implementation, ensuring that the company's compensation strategy remains competitive in the market. The analyst will engage in advanced data analysis, policy review, and the management of geographic assignments, compensation tools, and systems. Additionally, the role involves overseeing annual merit cycles, generating queries, and producing reports to support compensation decisions. In this position, the Senior Compensation Analyst will participate in both strategic and operational initiatives aimed at enhancing the compensation program. This may involve acting as a team leader or a team member, depending on the project requirements. The analyst will analyze compensation data, market trends, and other relevant information to provide actionable recommendations that align with the company's compensation strategy. Researching external market trends and internal data will be essential to ensure that the compensation strategy remains competitive and effective. The role also includes developing and documenting internal business processes to meet organizational goals, as well as making recommendations for process improvements. The analyst will provide advanced analysis and recommendations for business processes related to a new Workday implementation, lead the development of compensation design, and introduce new programs as necessary. Day-to-day administration of compensation will be a key responsibility, including researching and analyzing compensation-related issues and collaborating with leadership across the organization to evaluate compensation strategies. Operational responsibilities will encompass market analysis, salary range assessments, job descriptions, and the development of compensation communications for HR managers and team members. The Senior Compensation Analyst will also audit, develop, maintain, and implement compensation policies and programs to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. This role requires the ability to perform necessary analyses to ensure that exempt and administrative jobs have appropriate market targets based on geographic location. Additionally, the analyst will be responsible for creating educational content and training materials for compensation programs and managing the annual merit cycle for various pay structures.
