About the position

As a Senior Compensation Analyst at POWER Engineers, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and administering the company's compensation programs. This includes a variety of responsibilities such as developing base pay plans, conducting job analysis and descriptions, managing bonus programs, and performing salary market analysis. Your expertise will be essential in analyzing both internal and external market data to address compensation-related needs, and you will be responsible for preparing and presenting recommendations based on your findings. In this position, you will maintain and help optimize processes that ensure the accuracy of enterprise-wide job families, profiles, and grade structures. You will also participate in salary surveys and analyze the data collected to provide insights into compensation trends. Additionally, you will assist with the implementation of new market data management software, specifically Payfactors, which will enhance the efficiency of compensation data management. Regular audits of compensation-related data will be part of your duties to ensure consistency and accuracy across various jobs and functions. You will contribute valuable information during the preparation of executive committee meetings and support the Compensation Manager in all matters concerning the design, development, and administration of broad-based compensation programs. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing business conditions and priorities, making it a dynamic and impactful position within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and administer the company's compensation programs including base pay plans, job analysis, and bonus programs.
  • Analyze internal and external market data to address compensation-related needs and prepare recommendations.
  • Maintain and optimize processes related to job families, profiles, and grade structures.
  • Participate in salary surveys and analyze compensation data.
  • Assist with the implementation of market data management software (Payfactors).
  • Conduct regular audits of compensation-related data for consistency and accuracy.
  • Contribute information for executive committee meetings.
  • Support the Compensation Manager in the design and administration of compensation programs.

Requirements

  • 4-5 years' experience in compensation analysis or related field.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Finance, or a related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, including x-lookups and nested formulas.
  • Experience handling large data sets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to conduct regular self-audits.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business conditions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of Power BI.
  • Experience with Payfactors software.
  • CCP Certification.
