McKinstry is seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst to join our Human Resource team. In this pivotal role, you will provide expert compensation consulting services to business unit leadership and key human resources staff, ensuring alignment with company goals. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks, including the review and development of compensation plans, monitoring the effectiveness of compensation policies, and recommending necessary changes. You will conduct research on market trends and best practices, including compensation surveys, to ensure competitive pay practices across the organization. Additionally, you will build and maintain processes to ensure the integrity of compensation data and associated documentation, including job descriptions. Staying informed about federal, state, and local compensation regulations will be crucial, as you will develop and document policies and procedures to ensure compliance. As part of managing the compensation cycle, you will conduct annual compensation reviews, benchmark against the market, and recommend changes to geographic pay ranges as appropriate. You will oversee the merit increase program, which includes making pay increase recommendations, communication, and implementation. Your role will also involve providing advice and counsel to human resources colleagues and business unit leadership regarding compensation decisions, methodology, policy, and strategy. You will assist HR Business Partners in training business unit leadership on compensation matters and perform various analyses of employee data to produce relevant reports. Furthermore, you will lead projects related to compensation matters as assigned, ensuring that all aspects of job development and pricing are managed effectively. To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience, with a preference for CCP or SCP certification. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the analysis, design, and administration of compensation programs is required, along with experience managing projects and familiarity with compensation survey tools. Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to consult and collaborate effectively with business leaders and HR colleagues. Excellent communication and presentation skills are necessary to convey complex information effectively to business leaders, and strong Excel skills, including advanced features, are a must. A working knowledge of HRIS and payroll reporting systems, as well as applicable regulations such as FLSA, OFCCP, and EEOC, will be beneficial. Finally, demonstrating excellent customer service in response to inquiries from company leaders and HR colleagues is crucial for this role.
