As a Senior Compensation Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the assessment, design, and implementation of compensation and incentive programs and policies. Your analytical skills will be essential for the administration of compensation plans and programs, ensuring that our employees are compensated fairly and equitably. You will participate in the development of compensation strategies that align with our organizational goals and values, contributing to a workplace where employees feel valued and motivated. In this role, you will analyze existing compensation and incentive programs, participating in implementation activities that include base pay programs and incentives. You will conduct job evaluations, collaborating with Field HR and management to define roles and determine exempt/non-exempt status. Your expertise will be vital in conducting and analyzing surveys to study labor markets and salary trends, which will inform Baxter's budgeting and pay rate decisions. You will also work closely with Shared Services on survey submissions and data management, analyzing survey data during annual updates to identify issues and recommend actions. Your responsibilities will extend to maintaining documentation of global compensation plan information and resolving inquiries related to compensation processes and tools. You will participate in functional reviews, analyzing market data to price jobs, including incentives and stock options, and developing actionable recommendations. Supporting the Annual Compensation Review (ACR) and other compensation processes will also be part of your duties, ensuring that Baxter remains competitive in the market while adhering to compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of compensation and incentive programs and policies.
  • Analyze compensation and incentive programs and policies, including base pay programs and incentives.
  • Conduct job evaluations and determine exempt/non-exempt status in collaboration with Field HR and management.
  • Conduct, analyze, and participate in surveys to study labor markets and salary trends.
  • Work with Shared Services on survey submission and data management.
  • Analyze survey data during annual EMV/structure update processes to identify issues and determine actions.
  • Support the administration of all compensation plans and programs in partnership with compensation CoE, Shared Services, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain documentation of global compensation plan information.
  • Research and resolve issues/inquiries related to compensation plans, processes, and tools.
  • Participate in functional reviews and analyze market data to price jobs, including incentives and stock options.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Basic knowledge of statistics required.
  • 3+ years of compensation experience; experience in a global company is a plus.
  • Experience with HR and Compensation systems, preferably Workday and Payfactors.
  • Experience with job evaluation methodologies is desired.
  • Knowledge of U.S. HR practices, procedures, required documentation, and compliance requirements required.
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills are required; proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills demonstrating a high level of confidentiality and customer focus.
  • Proven organizational skills with high attention to detail; must be able to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Ability to work in a team-focused, collaborative environment and independently with a sense of urgency.
