About the position

The Senior Compensation Analyst is responsible for administering compensation programs and practices for specific business units. This role involves conducting job evaluations, market analyses, and providing compensation recommendations. The analyst will also support performance management, incentive plans, and merit administration, while collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure effective compensation strategies are implemented.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, management, and employees to provide day-to-day compensation support and recommendations.
  • Analyze and provide salary recommendations for various employee actions including new hires, promotions, and reorganizations.
  • Conduct job evaluations comparing primary duties and minimum qualifications against external market data and internal structures.
  • Support compensation administration of annual programs such as performance management, annual incentive, and merit.
  • Assist with regulatory compliance, audit requests, union negotiations, and rate cases.
  • Participate in salary surveys and maintain market data.
  • Compile data for analysis to provide compensation recommendations and updates to the compensation system.
  • Complete market analyses, internal equity reviews, and create summary statistics for compensation recommendations.
  • Collaborate with HR partners to solve business problems and communicate decisions effectively.
  • Assist with the administration of compensation programs, initiatives, and projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years relevant experience in compensation analysis.
  • Compensation certification preferred.
  • Experience in job evaluation, market pricing, salary survey participation, and annual compensation cycles.
  • Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Workday, SAP, or other ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills with attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of FLSA and other compensation relevant laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external constituents.
  • Demonstrated experience handling confidential or sensitive information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities.
