About the position

The Senior Compensation Analyst is responsible for developing, implementing, and administering compensation programs that align with business objectives. This role involves conducting internal and external compensation analyses, participating in salary surveys, and providing analytical expertise to guide management on pay decisions and job evaluations. The analyst will also support broad-based compensation programs, ensure compliance with compensation laws, and maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive compensation data.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal and external compensation analyses.
  • Participate in third-party salary surveys including job matching and data submission.
  • Provide analytical expertise, guidance, and interpretation of compensation policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate on internal and external research and analysis, advising management on pay decisions and job evaluations.
  • Support in planning broad-based compensation programs and merit cycles, including annual salary review, bonus, and equity planning.
  • Interpret salary surveys to ensure the organization’s competitive position.
  • Provide compensation analysis and data management support for special projects.
  • Research and update Federal Contractor minimum pay rates.
  • Write, revise, and review job descriptions, providing recommendations to leaders.
  • Perform internal and external pay analysis to determine appropriate salary grades for job descriptions.
  • Generate ad hoc reports from the HRIS database and external sources for internal use.
  • Develop, modify, and run queries and reports for compensation planning and audits.
  • Audit, analyze, and improve upon current compensation philosophy and pay practices.
  • Provide guidance on compensation policies, pay decisions, and wage regulations.
  • Stay current with applicable compensation laws and salary trends in healthcare.
  • Maintain confidentiality and knowledge of applicable regulations.

Requirements

  • A minimum of five years of compensation experience.
  • Experience with Oracle HCM Cloud or related Oracle HRIS system preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of wage and hour laws.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suites with advanced level in Excel required.
  • Proficient in using Excel formulas and functions to analyze large data sets.
  • Knowledge of compensation fundamentals, concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess information and formulate recommendations.
  • Knowledgeable of federal and state laws.
  • Creative and analytical thinker with initiative to resolve problems.
  • Experience modeling data and creating reports.
  • Ability to handle sensitive compensation data with confidentiality.
  • Excellent customer service approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills across all organizational levels.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
