About the position

The Senior Compensation Analyst plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive compensation consultative services to Human Resources and Leadership at Cedars-Sinai. This position focuses on job evaluation, competitive pay analysis, and the design and implementation of pay solutions and strategies. The analyst will manage projects related to compensation initiatives, ensuring that the organization maintains competitive and compliant compensation programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide complex compensation consultative services to Human Resources and Leadership.
  • Conduct benchmarking and data analysis to formulate recommendations for compensation programs.
  • Consult with client groups to interpret compensation policies and evaluate requests for changes.
  • Conduct reviews of job levels and update job descriptions in collaboration with HR and management.
  • Manage and administer assigned compensation projects and programs, including design and implementation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and best practices in compensation.
  • Conduct market research to support compensation recommendations.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses related to compensation.
  • Manage components of the annual wage plan for the organization.
  • Review labor market changes to maintain competitive salary structures.
  • Maintain and audit compensation-related information in the HR system.
  • Provide compensation guidance and training to HR and Leadership.
  • Act as a mentor and resource for HR and Compensation staff.
  • Partner with HR staff and leadership to solve complex operational issues.
  • Collaborate with Payroll on mass pay and job changes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pay regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Five years of experience in Total Rewards, Compensation, or HR Business Partner roles, with at least three years dedicated to Compensation.
  • Two years of experience in a hospital or healthcare environment preferred.
