About the position

The Senior Compensation Analyst at Southwest Healthcare is responsible for overseeing the compensation practices and strategies for the Southern California region. This role involves analyzing market data to inform salary trends, making recommendations for pay adjustments, and maintaining an accurate database of compensation ranges. The analyst will collaborate with HR staff to standardize job descriptions and participate in wage surveys and task force initiatives, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize market data to understand current salary trends and predict future needs.
  • Present recommendations for future market adjustments during annual budget preparation.
  • Track market adjustments against salary budget dollars.
  • Recommend rates of pay for new employees and changes in pay rates due to employment status changes.
  • Maintain an accurate database of compensation ranges and differentials per job code by facility.
  • Analyze new job descriptions for wage grade placement and maintain an electronic library of job descriptions.
  • Work with facility HR staff to standardize job descriptions.
  • Participate in Wage & Hour Task Force Initiatives and salary surveys for all Southern California Region facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or related field required.
  • 4-6 years of relevant compensation experience required, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Completion of CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) highly preferred.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with The Joint Commission and Title 22 standards and guidelines.
  • Ability to set priorities and appropriately organize workload and complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and analysis skills.
  • Expert level Excel skills.
