About the position

McKinstry is seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst to join our Human Resource team in Dallas, TX. In this pivotal role, you will provide expert compensation consulting services to business unit leadership and key human resources staff, ensuring alignment with company goals. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of compensation-related tasks, including the review and development of compensation plans, monitoring the effectiveness of compensation policies, and recommending necessary changes. You will conduct research on market trends and best practices, ensuring that our compensation practices remain competitive and compliant with federal, state, and local regulations. Additionally, you will play a key role in the design, implementation, and administration of variable pay programs, such as sales and bonus programs. As part of managing the compensation cycle, you will conduct annual compensation reviews, benchmark against the market, and recommend changes to geographic pay ranges as appropriate. You will also manage the merit increase program, which includes making pay increase recommendations and overseeing communication and implementation processes. Your role will involve providing advice and counsel to HR colleagues and business unit leadership regarding compensation decisions, policy interpretation, and job pricing. You will assist HR Business Partners in training business unit leadership on compensation matters and perform various analyses of employee data to produce relevant reports. In terms of job development and pricing, you will oversee the complete lifecycle of creating new jobs or revising existing job descriptions. Responsibilities

  • Provide expert compensation consulting services to business unit leadership and HR staff.
  • Monitor effectiveness of compensation policies and recommend changes as needed.
  • Conduct research on market trends and best practices, including compensation surveys.
  • Build and maintain processes to ensure the integrity of compensation data and documentation.
  • Keep apprised of compensation regulations and develop policies to ensure compliance.
  • Play a key role in variable pay program design and administration.
  • Conduct annual compensation reviews and recommend changes to geo ranges.
  • Manage the merit increase program, including pay increase recommendations and implementation.
  • Provide advice and counsel on compensation decisions and policy interpretation.
  • Assist HR Business Partners in training business unit leadership on compensation matters.
  • Perform analyses of employee data and produce relevant reports.
  • Oversee the lifecycle of creating or revising job descriptions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a similar field; CCP or SCP certification preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in compensation program analysis, design, and administration.
  • Experience managing projects related to compensation.
  • Experience with compensation survey tools.
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to consult and collaborate effectively with business leaders and HR colleagues.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong Excel skills, including advanced features like pivot tables and macros.
  • Working knowledge of HRIS and payroll reporting systems.
  • Understanding of applicable regulations such as FLSA, OFCCP, and EEOC.
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
