About the position

The Senior Compensation Analyst plays a crucial role within the Corporate Human Resources Team, focusing on overseeing compensation projects and initiatives for Florida Crystals Corporation and American Sugar Refining, Inc. This position is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate completion of compensation-related tasks, supporting the integration of processes, and improving monitoring systems to maximize strategic value. The analyst will work closely with the corporate Compensation Manager and collaborate with HR leaders and executives to provide solutions that align with the company's strategic compensation needs.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation policies and recommend revisions or new plans that align with corporate objectives.
  • Coordinate implementation of compensation plans and provide guidance to HR and business leaders.
  • Advise leaders and HR staff on pay decisions, policy interpretation, and job evaluation, designing creative solutions for compensation programs.
  • Manage the administration of direct compensation programs, including equity adjustments and market alignment proposals.
  • Support the configuration and testing of SuccessFactors Compensation and Performance Management Modules.
  • Conduct salary surveys to ensure corporate compensation objectives are met.
  • Stay updated on compensation laws and regulations to ensure compliance and oversee FLSA reviews.
  • Collaborate with the Benefits team to align programs with the total reward philosophy.
  • Partner with leadership and HR Business Partners for the successful adoption of new compensation processes, including communication and training.
  • Perform regular audits of compensation data to ensure accuracy.
  • Oversee the administration of 401k programs and support various benefits initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Management, or a related discipline from an accredited university.
  • 5-10 years of progressively responsible compensation experience.
  • Knowledge of government regulations related to compensation and detailed knowledge of FLSA regulations.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using an HRIS system, preferably SAP HR/HCM, with the ability to develop and analyze reports and queries.
  • Experience in writing reports and presentations for all levels of the company.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with benchmarking and market pricing jobs, including salary surveys.
  • Experience in creating and presenting recommendations for equity adjustments and market alignment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification as a Certified Compensation Professional through World @ Work or actively working towards certification.
  • Professional training and experience with SAP HR/HCM and SuccessFactors modules.
  • Process Improvement and related process mapping skills.
