About the position

The Compensation Consultant position is designed to provide comprehensive compensation consulting services across various business lines within the company. This role is pivotal in the day-to-day design, development, implementation, and administration of global compensation programs and systems. The consultant will be responsible for developing, analyzing, implementing, and managing data related to team members, the company, and industry standards to ensure competitive compensation practices are upheld. In this role, the consultant will collaborate closely with HR business partners and business leaders to benchmark jobs against survey data and other market intelligence. This benchmarking process is essential for determining competitive compensation ranges for each position within the organization. The consultant will assess job classifications, determining whether positions are exempt or nonexempt, and will establish appropriate salary ranges accordingly. Additionally, the consultant will prepare and maintain job classifications and salary scales, ensuring that they are up-to-date and reflective of market conditions. The consultant will also be tasked with preparing and presenting summary reports that encapsulate job analysis and compensation analysis information. This involves gathering data from market-based compensation surveys and utilizing spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess results and identify market trends. The role requires experience in analyzing and benchmarking roles for senior leaders, as well as in designing compensation programs for both short-term and long-term incentives. The consultant will leverage their research, reporting, and analytical skills to identify gaps and opportunities within the compensation programs. Furthermore, the consultant will partner with finance, accounting, legal, and tax departments to ensure that all employee compensation practices comply with regulatory and legal standards. The role will also involve delivering global projects based on overall HR prioritization and performing other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies gaps and opportunity areas across compensation programs through research, reporting, and analysis.
  • Partners with finance, accounting, legal, and tax departments to ensure regulatory and legal compliance of employee compensation practices.
  • Delivers global projects based on overall HR prioritization.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Four years of experience as a compensation analyst required.
  • Two years specialized executive compensation analysis/administration experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Math, Business or related field.
