About the position

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in the design, development, and administration of our compensation programs, ensuring that they are consistently applied in accordance with organizational policies and government regulations. The Senior Compensation Analyst will be responsible for managing position data and maintaining the compensation structure within our Human Resource Information System (HRIS), as well as utilizing other software tools such as MarketPay. This position requires a high level of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. The successful candidate will also play a key role in the continuous improvement of compensation processes and systems, ensuring that they meet the evolving needs of the organization and its employees. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Saint Paul, MN, offering a competitive salary of $79,159 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and administer the organization's compensation programs.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and government regulations regarding compensation.
  • Manage position data and maintain the compensation structure in the HRIS system.
  • Utilize software tools such as MarketPay for compensation analysis and management.
  • Conduct market analysis to ensure competitive compensation structures.
  • Provide guidance and support to management on compensation-related inquiries.
  • Continuously improve compensation processes and systems to meet organizational needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience required.
  • Three or more years of experience in compensation required.
  • Previous analytical experience with intermediate Excel and HRIS experience required.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality required.
  • Knowledge of compensation practices, human resource laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Nice-to-haves

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
