About the position

The Compensation Data Analyst will play a crucial role in the high-volume Compensation team at UCLA Health, utilizing advanced data visualization skills, particularly in Tableau, to provide insights on pay issues, market competitiveness, and other data-driven projects. This position aims to align compensation strategies with leading health systems, ensuring data-driven decisions that foster talent retention and loyalty. The analyst will also lead special projects and support the Compensation management team with key metrics and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Provide key metrics on internal and external pay issues and market competitiveness.
• Make recommendations that align with established guidelines and compensation philosophy.
• Spearhead special projects within the Compensation team.
• Guide the Compensation management team with data-driven insights.
• Analyze complex data sets to support compensation decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4+ years of experience in compensation administration.
• Advanced skills in Tableau and Excel for data analysis.
• Strong experience with statistical data sets and regression analysis.
• Experience working with SQL.
• In-depth knowledge of compensation practices and programs.
• Understanding of compensation-related laws and regulations, including FLSA.
• Advanced interpersonal and communication skills to engage with various stakeholders.
• Strong writing skills for developing reports and correspondence.
• Proven client-oriented and collaborative approach in analysis and resolution of issues.
• Demonstrated success in achieving unit goals and strategic objectives.
