About the position

Weyerhaeuser is seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst to provide compensation support for its businesses and corporate functions. This role is crucial in administering and promoting the company's compensation system, which includes base pay and incentive plans for salaried employees, with some involvement in hourly compensation practices. The analyst will engage in compensation initiatives, compliance, and support special projects within the Compensation, Benefits, and Shared Services organization.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with HR Business Partners and managers to promote effective use of compensation plans and programs.
  • Consult on compensation plans, guidelines, policies, job ladders, total rewards, and compensation philosophy.
  • Participate in the annual compensation process including merit and variable compensation.
  • Administer the company's stock-based incentive programs and related activity, including vendor management.
  • Support the company's implementation of a new HCM system as a subject matter expert.
  • Provide market competitive recommendations through research, market pricing, and best practices benchmarking.
  • Monitor compliance of compensation programs and regulatory changes.
  • Participate in knowledge transfer of compensation programs across businesses and functions.
  • Partner with HR community, Finance, Law, and other stakeholders to support compensation initiatives.
  • Lead internal and cross-department projects.
  • Role model safe behavior and promote an injury-free environment.
  • Demonstrate Weyerhaeuser's People Principles by valuing employees, leaders, and customers.

Requirements

  • Typically 8 years of HR or finance experience with at least 4 years in compensation, preferably with both salaried and hourly employee base pay and incentive programs.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Management, Business Administration, or a related field. CEP designation is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
  • Self-starter who is resilient and adaptable.
  • Strong judgment and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence others.
  • Robust understanding of compensation areas, especially job architecture and base pay administration.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in HRIS and compensation systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematics skills.

  • Experience with stock-based compensation programs.
  • Familiarity with HCM system implementations.
