The Senior Compensation Analyst will be a critical member of the Axcelis Compensation team responsible for executing Axcelis compensation strategy. This role supports the development, implementation, and administration of Axcelis' global compensation programs. The position involves conducting market research, benchmarking salaries, maintaining job and salary structures, and working with HR partners and business leaders to address compensation-related issues. This position is hybrid or remote based, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements. In terms of Compensation Program Management, the analyst will obtain a deep understanding of Axcelis' compensation data sources, submission and collection methods, and pay philosophy. They will benchmark new and existing roles to market survey data and manage the annual market data compensation survey process. The analyst will analyze and report on compensation trends and key metrics, supporting pay equity analyses. Collaboration with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and managers will be essential to support, respond to, and provide guidance on compensation-related issues. Additionally, the analyst will partner with the Compensation Director to develop and deliver educational and communication materials related to compensation to support global employee understanding and engagement. Regarding Job Architecture, Descriptions, and Salary Structure, the analyst will maintain Axcelis' job architecture framework and job descriptions. They will develop and maintain Axcelis' salary structure across all job families and levels, partnering with HRBPs and business leaders on the creation of new jobs, job levels, and job descriptions based on organizational needs, market benchmarking, and internal equity. In the Annual Compensation Planning phase, the analyst will partner with the cross-functional HR team on executing and enhancing the annual compensation planning cycle (base, bonus, equity), including managing timelines, auditing data, and creating employee communications. They will create and manage documents and tracking related to quarterly bonus programs. The analyst will also be responsible for Audit and Systems Review, which includes reviewing and auditing compensation practices to ensure consistency and compliance. They will continuously seek process improvements, using technology to minimize data issues and manual work to facilitate efficient and scalable practices. Additionally, they will manage and maintain compensation data in HR information systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy in compensation-related databases.
