About the position

As a Senior Compensation Analyst at Lockton, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing, designing, and administering compensation programs that align with our organizational goals and values. Your expertise will be essential in evaluating jobs, developing and maintaining job descriptions, and establishing a robust job architecture that supports our growth and operational efficiency. You will assist with the salary survey process, evaluating market data to ensure our compensation offerings are competitive and equitable. In this role, you will enable leaders across the organization to make informed and equitable compensation decisions, fostering productive pay conversations that reflect our commitment to fairness and transparency. You will define and apply strong governance practices to our compensation processes, mitigating risks and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Your focus on continuous improvement will drive efficiency and effectiveness in all HR compensation operations, ensuring we deliver the highest quality service to our associates and partners. You will also serve as the expert on deferred compensation matters, providing consultation to senior executives, stakeholders, and other HR leaders. Collaborating with the broader compensation team, you will manage the ongoing and annual pay review processes, working closely with locally based HR leaders to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Your goal will be to deliver a unique and best-in-class total compensation offering that meets the needs of our associates and partners at Lockton. Additionally, you will partner with the business to provide advice and guidance on compensation strategies, market analysis, and other related activities, ensuring that our compensation practices are aligned with our business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Analyses, designs, and administers compensation programs.
  • Evaluates jobs and develops and maintains job descriptions and job architecture.
  • Assists with salary survey process and evaluates market data.
  • Enables leaders to make equitable compensation decisions and have productive pay conversations.
  • Defines and applies strong governance practices to compensation processes to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
  • Employs continuous improvement principles to ensure HR compensation operations are efficient and effective.
  • Provides consultation on deferred compensation matters to senior executives and HR leaders.
  • Delivers ongoing and annual pay review processes for the Center and Business Series and Regions in a timely manner.
  • Evolves the current annual compensation review platform, Payscale.
  • Delivers a unique and best-in-class total compensation offering for Associates and Partners at Lockton.
  • Partners with the business to provide advice and guidance on compensation and market analysis.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in Compensation in a growing organization.
  • Depth of knowledge and expertise in deferred compensation programs including plan design, LTI, STI, and overall compensation strategy.
  • Significant experience with implementing job levelling, market matching, and submissions.
  • Track record of regular interaction with senior-level executives and driving company-wide initiatives.
  • Strong relationship builder who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to analyze large data sets and identify key themes, anomalies, and trends.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to distil information and develop solutions.
  • Excellent Excel ability to manipulate large data sets.
  • Driven to make an impact by leveraging data to drive proposals and challenge practices.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate complex queries to various audiences.
  • Commercial and client-focused with a people perspective at the heart of every solution.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to interpret large amounts of information quickly.
