About the position

The Sr Compensation Analyst will have the responsibility of supporting field sales commission and bonus programs. They will be responsible for the creation, improvement, and communication of plan analytics and performance. This role requires familiarity with sales compensation programs and the ability to research, analyze, and interpret large data sets to help solve business problems.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design, build, and implementation of variable compensation programs including sales commissions and incentive bonuses.
  • Calculate, analyze, and distribute corporate incentive bonuses and sales commission payments.
  • Support the administration of the Varicent Sales Performance Management (SPM) commission software application including configuration and enhancements.
  • Participate in robust testing of all changes to the commission system ensuring the data integrity of all changes to the commission software application including data tables, calculations, and reporting.
  • Support projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization strategies.
  • Build, develop, and maintain data models, reporting systems, dashboards, and performance metrics to support key business decisions.
  • Examine, interpret, and report results of analytical initiatives to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Act as a resource to Business Partners and Managers on compensation policy and practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Business, Computer Information Systems, Economics, Mathematics, or Analytics degree strongly desired
  • 3+ years' experience in a compensation or analytical role
  • Knowledge of compensation programs and practices
  • Proven ability to work with and interpret large data sets
  • Ability to communicate with customers effectively
  • Attention to detail and able to perform extensive validation of data using automated tools to ensure accuracy of analytics
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Experience utilizing business intelligence tools for reporting
  • Well versed with Varicent Sales Performance Management (SPM) application
