We are looking for a Network Engineer to join our team, particularly for the STONERAINBOW program, which focuses on providing optimal solutions for our customers' operational needs. As a Network Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for leading projects related to the crafting, implementation, and maintenance of our global WAN/LAN network infrastructure. This position supports a mission-critical program with high visibility and a proven track record, offering a unique opportunity to grow your skills and make a significant impact. The successful candidate will work from a central location, providing support to multiple organizations without any travel requirements. This role requires a strong background in network engineering, particularly in large-scale efforts involving the deployment, maintenance, and operations of data networks. You will be responsible for conducting complex network problem analysis, optimizing network performance, and integrating new telecommunications technologies. Your expertise will guide and lead Level 0-2 network engineers, ensuring adherence to approved methods and procedures. Responsibilities

  • Conduct complex network problem analysis and resolve telecommunications issues.
  • Research, recommend, and evaluate network performance, optimization, and security solutions.
  • Optimize end-to-end network system performance and manage traffic flow.
  • Minimize network latency and maximize data throughput through analysis and performance tools.
  • Assist system engineers and cross-organizational teams in formulating solutions for mission requirements.
  • Design and verify network solutions for routing protocols, traffic shaping, and network security.
  • Introduce and integrate new network and telecommunications technologies.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to Level 0-2 network engineers.
  • Verify and validate activities of Level 0-2 network engineers, ensuring compliance with approved methods.

Requirements

  • Fifteen (15) years of experience as a Network Engineer in similar programs and contracts.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or five (5) additional years of experience in Network Engineering disciplines in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with common network devices such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Current possession of one of the following certifications: CCNP Routing and Switching or CCNP Security.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with large-scale network deployment and maintenance efforts.
  • Familiarity with network performance analytic tools.
  • Experience in optimizing network security solutions.
