The Senior Computer User Support Technician will provide essential end-user support for various computing systems, including PC servers and mainframe applications, at Powder River Industries in Kansas City, MO. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues, ensuring optimal performance for a large user base. The technician will also be responsible for installing and configuring software and hardware, contributing to process development, and collaborating with other technical teams to restore services and address core problems.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-user support for PC server and mainframe applications and hardware.
• Install and test personal computers, printers, and other peripherals.
• Configure operating systems and load application software programs.
• Collaborate with network services and software systems engineering to restore services.
• Contribute to schedule development and metric collection as requested.
• Assist in process development within the functional area.

Requirements

• High school education and 2+ years of IT technical support experience.
• Secret security clearance is required and must be maintained.
• IAT Level I certification (e.g., Network+, A+) is required and must be maintained.
• Strong collaboration and teaming skills.
