About the position
The Senior Computer Vision Engineer at Hover will play a crucial role in developing computer vision-based solutions that enhance the company's 3D measurement and visualization products. This position focuses on practical applications of computer vision technology, requiring collaboration with a diverse team of engineers and designers to create innovative algorithms and prototypes that can be transitioned into production-ready software. The role emphasizes technical leadership and the ability to communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Develop computer vision-based solutions for 3D measurement and visualization products.
- Focus on areas such as 3D reconstruction, object detection, scene understanding, and segmentation.
- Design and develop creative solutions and novel algorithms in an applied research setting.
- Conduct rapid prototyping to validate hypotheses and identify promising new directions.
- Drive the work end-to-end, bridging the gap between prototypes and production-ready software.
- Provide technical leadership to team members and the broader organization.
Requirements
- Substantial experience developing algorithms for 3D reconstruction in academic or industrial settings.
- Deep theoretical understanding and practical experience in 3D Reconstruction, Object detection and localization, Pose estimation, Multi-view geometry, Model fitting, and Optimization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent software development skills.
- Comfortable building prototypes in C++ or Python.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Nice-to-haves
- PhD related to 3D Reconstruction.
- Strong track record of research in related areas, with publications in top-tier venues such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV.
- Practical experience in writing robust and maintainable production code.
