The Creativity Apps team is seeking a Senior CV & ML Engineer to help shape the next generation of creative editing tools by working on pioneering technologies that will surprise and delight creative professionals and enthusiasts alike. This role involves collaboration with world-class teams behind Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, iMovie, and GarageBand to create innovative tools for creators. As an early member of a new engineering team, you will build state-of-the-art models and applications, partner with cross-functional teams, and deliver end-to-end features that power next-generation tools for creators. The ideal candidate should possess deep experience in computer vision and machine learning, with a commitment to sustainable software development. You will be responsible for driving features from concept to delivery, requiring a self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate across all levels of the organization. Responsibilities

• Build state-of-the-art models and applications for creative editing tools.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features.
• Drive features from concept to delivery in the creative space.

• Innovate in the field of computer vision and machine learning.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or related field, and 4+ years of significant industry experience delivering products using state-of-the-art computer vision and machine learning technologies.
• Extensive knowledge in theory and practice of computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning techniques.
• Experience delivering products in Computer Vision, Computational Photography, Multimodal-LLMs/Foundation models, Generative AI, Machine Learning, or related areas.
• Proven track record in training, evaluating, and deploying multimodal large language models / foundational models and/or diffusion models.
• Experience with RLHF based large model training.
• Experience in applying parameter efficient fine-tuning such as p-tuning, adaptors, LoRA, etc. to improve multimodal-LLM reasoning and prediction.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++ and one of the deep learning toolkits such as PyTorch, JAX, or Tensorflow.
• Experience delivering high quality software at scale.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Core ML, Swift, and iOS/macOS machine learning development is a plus.
• Strong patent and publication record at top conferences is a plus.
• Experience optimizing models and algorithms that run efficiently on resource constrained platforms is a plus.
