About the position

The Senior Construction Manager at MasTec Utility Services is responsible for overseeing large and complex utility construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This role involves project management, resource allocation, and equipment management, while also supporting the construction team and collaborating with field personnel, senior operations management, and customers. The position emphasizes building professional relationships and resolving jobsite challenges in real-time, contributing to the overall success of the projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage all projects to completion on-time and within budget.
• Schedule the crews, identify and delegate the crews to start their work, review project timelines and expectations, and supervise work performance and job quality.
• Develop professional relationships with customers, customer representatives, inspectors, marketing team members, and managers from all levels to maintain and increase market share.
• Manage and oversee 15 to 20 crews to complete the installation of natural gas pipeline projects.
• Participate in meetings with senior operations management, peers, and/or customers.
• Real-time resolution of problems or jobsite obstacles with crews, customers, inspectors, engineers, and local governing bodies.
• Participate in estimating and bidding projects, contract negotiations, and change order preparation.
• Ensure that materials are procured on-time and accurately and that inventory levels are appropriately maintained.
• Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent.
• OQ Operator Qualified Certification.
