About the position

The Senior Construction Program Director at Arcadis will lead major building relocation programs for prominent Oil & Gas clients in North America. This role is pivotal in ensuring that projects align with client requirements and business objectives by developing and executing project plans, managing cross-functional teams, and coordinating activities throughout all project phases, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and handover.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to on-site construction managers overseeing daily construction work and handover activities.
  • Lead tendering processes, including development of RFPs, bid review and clarification, and execution of design, procurement, and construction contracts.
  • Develop programs through FEL/FEED to ensure the commercial business case and lead through option selection, engineering, procurement, and construction.
  • Ensure contractors schedule, conduct, and document all construction meetings, including progress and safety meetings.
  • Review submittals for conformance with contract documents and coordinate RFIs as required.
  • Manage work to follow regulatory and industry requirements and validate all payment requests from contractors.
  • Review contractors' site-specific health and safety plans and monitor adherence to safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate project files, meeting records, and correspondence.
  • Provide weekly and monthly client reporting packages to senior and executive leaders.
  • Support the client in coordinating operational training and contract close-out procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 15 years of senior project/program management experience in the construction or heavy civil industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction technology, equipment, methods, industry practices, estimating/budgeting, scheduling, and safety requirements.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering complex construction projects over $200M+.
