About the position

The Construction Project Coordinator plays a critical role in managing the communication and organization of multiple construction projects within Zero Impact Solutions. This position involves coordinating with senior leaders, tracking project progress, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction procedures and project management principles, enabling them to oversee the workflow and ensure timely project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Work with senior leaders on the team on scheduling, invoicing, and partnership agreements.
  • Develop processes to keep track of multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Schedule meetings and capture next steps and efficiency improvements.
  • Meet with team members to learn about the status of existing projects and new projects.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, partners, and multiple departments within the company.
  • Assign next steps in the workflow of project demands based on team roles.
  • Digest and understand the full scope of complex projects to ensure timely delivery.
  • Take copious notes in meetings and understand next steps for project progression.
  • Collaborate with all levels of the team on plans, campaigns, partnerships, and projects.
  • Manage scheduling of team discussions and meetings with external partners.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a construction project coordinator or similar role.
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and project management principles.
  • Ability to plan and see the 'big picture'.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
  • BSc/BA in construction management, architecture, engineering or relevant field.
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
  • Experience in project management software.
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • SMARTSHEETS knowledge a plus.
  • Competency or proficiency in Smartsheet, Google Docs and Sheets, and Fieldwide (Project Management tool).
  • Experience working directly with upper management or project management.
