About the position

As a Senior Consultant and Agile Scrum Master at CapTech, you will play a pivotal role in helping our clients navigate their most complex business and technology initiatives. Your primary focus will be to facilitate the transition to Agile Delivery methodologies, ensuring that Agile values and principles are effectively applied within the organization. This position requires a strong ability to adapt and perform in various Project Management environments, as you will be working with a diverse range of clients, including Fortune 100 companies and government agencies. In this senior Agile position, you will establish collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders and provide coaching at all levels within an emerging Agile environment. You will assess the current organization and delivery environment, recommending optimal Agile practices tailored to each client's needs. As a Scrum Master, you will facilitate roadmapping, planning sessions, and retrospectives, while also supporting the triage and resolution of critical project issues. Your role will involve preparing and delivering effective communications regarding project progress and status to both internal and client teams. Additionally, you will perform hands-on project work, which may include analysis, design, and change management, as required by the project. Your experience and expertise will be crucial in helping teams write user stories and epics, identify dependencies, and design optimal solutions. This position not only demands technical proficiency but also excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish credibility with clients and build consensus across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Establish collaborative partnership with key stakeholders and provide coaching at all levels in an emerging Agile environment
  • Assess the current organization and delivery environment and recommend optimal Agile practices
  • Perform as a Scrum Master as needed for one or more scrum teams
  • Facilitate roadmapping, planning sessions and retrospectives
  • Support the triage and resolution of critical project issues
  • Prepare and deliver verbally and orally effective communications regarding progress and status for both internal and client teams
  • Perform hands-on project work, including analysis, design and change management, as needed by the project

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master and/or Agile coach
  • Agile practitioner mindset with an understanding of common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and iterative development practices
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT full development life cycle
  • CSM certification or equivalent preferred
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of successful ability to manage large and complex consulting engagements
  • Ability to help teams write user stories/epics, identify dependencies, and design optimal solutions
  • Flexibility to work with teams, individuals and executives and willingness to help with a wide variety of work products and people
  • Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients, build consensus, and achieve goals through influence
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
