About the position

The Senior Consultant, Business Performance Analytics at Travelers is responsible for leveraging data and analytics to enhance business productivity and efficiency. This role involves building solutions that transform data into actionable insights through effective dashboards and visualizations. The consultant will collaborate with leadership to understand business challenges and design solutions that align with enterprise data management and governance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide data analysis and coding support for multiple components of insights delivery.
  • Contribute to data wrangling, user experience and interface design, semantic layer and material view design and builds, and asset lifecycle management across a range of capabilities including reporting, guided analytics, self-service, embedded, augmented, and data as a service.
  • Provide feedback on feasibility of individual components of solution design.
  • Develop solutions that adhere to development standards and guidelines.
  • Provide root cause analysis of production incidents and recommend solutions to avoid future incidents to management.
  • Partner with leadership to ensure understanding of business problem, context, and audience to inform execution of the work.
  • Align solution design to enterprise data management, security, and governance controls.
  • Contribute to the recommendation and influence of solution design options within your supported portfolio.
  • Understand current delivery portfolio and how it addresses business problems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or two years equivalent experience with business intelligence tools, techniques, manipulation, or related.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to leverage previous experience to arrive at an effective solution to resolve business problems.
  • Strong data acumen with the ability to profile, analyze, cleanse, and organize data of moderate complexity.
  • Experience using Cloud, SQL, NoSQL, Python, CI/CD, Data Visualization, Business Intelligence Platforms (Qlik, Micro Strategy, Tableau), and/or Web Development (HTML, JavaScript, Analytic Libraries), ESRI.
