About the position

As a Senior Consultant at BCG Platinion, you will take on end-to-end responsibility for an individual module within a client engagement, developing specialized knowledge to address complex cybersecurity and digital risk challenges. Your role will involve applying generalist consulting skills to strategic cybersecurity questions, leveraging advanced methodologies, tools, and techniques to provide innovative solutions. You will be expected to understand the interplay between technology and business strategies, analyzing cybersecurity standards and regulatory requirements to tailor recommendations for clients' unique environments. In this position, you will be a technical expert and a business-minded storyteller, translating complex cybersecurity challenges into actionable insights across the business value chain. You will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, aligning and onboarding stakeholders to implement new cybersecurity processes and toolsets. Your responsibilities will include conducting cybersecurity assessments, developing strategies and policies, and embedding security practices into software development lifecycles. You will also facilitate workshops for leadership teams to enhance cybersecurity awareness and guide organizations in optimizing their cybersecurity practices. The role requires a proactive approach to change management, as you will be expected to lead initiatives that drive cybersecurity culture change and awareness within organizations. You will utilize cyber risk quantification to inform executive decision-making and deliver operational resilience through incident response and disaster recovery planning. Responsibilities

  • Take end-to-end responsibility for an individual module within a client engagement.
  • Apply generalist consulting skills to strategic cybersecurity and digital risk questions.
  • Conduct cybersecurity assessments including gap analysis and roadmap development.
  • Develop cybersecurity strategies, policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Implement cybersecurity transformation and culture change initiatives.
  • Analyze cybersecurity standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Communicate complex and technical concepts in a concise manner.
  • Facilitate board and senior management cybersecurity awareness workshops.
  • Embed product security and DevSecOps practices into software development lifecycles.
  • Utilize cyber risk quantification to improve executive decision making.
  • Deliver operational resilience through incident response and disaster recovery planning.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of practical experience in cybersecurity consulting or management.
  • BS in cybersecurity, information systems, mathematics, natural sciences, business management, or similar degree.
  • Hands-on experience with developing cybersecurity strategies or policies.
  • Knowledge of quantifying and managing cybersecurity risk.
  • Experience leading security assessments and designing cybersecurity programs.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and ISO/IEC standards.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills.
