About the position

FI Consulting is seeking a Senior Consultant with a financial management background and CPA to join their team. This role focuses on transforming client data into valuable assets through financial data modeling, analysis, and compliance with accounting policies. The consultant will work closely with financial institutions in various sectors to address complex analytical challenges and improve operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop accounting system business requirements
• Review code enhancements to determine compliance with accounting policies
• Review and validate accounting ledger posting rules for compliance
• Analyze and interpret data sets using statistical and financial techniques
• Collect data from various sources, perform analysis, and interpret results for business decisions
• Secure and protect company and client data to prevent improper disclosure.

Requirements

• BS/BA in finance/accounting or related degree
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• 5+ years of experience working with financial data
• Knowledge of methods for preparing data for statistical models
• Experience with programming languages (SQL, SAS, Python, R, or similar)
• Familiarity with data visualization tools, preferably Tableau
• Ability to articulate technical information clearly.
