About the position

The Senior Consultant role at StoneTurn involves performing forensic accounting and compliance reviews within enforcement, regulatory, and litigation environments. The position requires strong analytical and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with clients and management. The consultant will contribute to investigations and compliance matters, ensuring high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consulting services related to forensic accounting investigations and compliance matters.
  • Understand and incorporate client needs into work plans and deliverables.
  • Gather, organize, analyze, and summarize supporting documentation.
  • Interpret company compliance and control procedures, financial statements, and records.
  • Perform controls and compliance analyses and understand their impact on financial statements.
  • Compile and analyze facts to formulate and critique various theories or claims.
  • Utilize computer models to streamline complex information into clear analyses.
  • Develop and communicate work products to management and clients, both orally and in writing.
  • Draft high-quality reports and presentations.
  • Assist with engagement management, including budgeting and billing.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships and relationships with firm executives.
  • Supervise Consultants and Interns, assisting with documentation gathering and analysis.
  • Perform quality control reviews of work performed by Consultants and Interns.
  • Mentor and develop Consultants and Interns.

Requirements

  • Degree in business, accounting, or finance.
  • CPA obtained (or in process/eligible) or advanced degree in business, accounting, or economics.
  • Minimum two years of experience in accounting or finance or prior experience as an auditor.
  • Experience providing consulting services in a regulatory and enforcement environment.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent prioritization skills.
  • Commitment to exemplary client service delivery.
  • Flexibility with work schedule and travel requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Forensic certifications such as CFF, CAMS, or CFE.
  • MBA, ASA, and/or CFA.
  • Client service experience in a public accounting firm.
  • Network of relationships within law firms and corporate legal departments.
  • Foreign capabilities.
