About the position

The Senior Marketing Consultant at WSP USA plays a crucial role in supporting the firm's growth by providing business development and marketing services across multiple business lines. This position requires collaboration, leadership in proposal development, and a deep understanding of client engagement and marketing strategies, particularly within the A/E/C industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex proposals with general guidance, including scheduling and conducting project kick-off meetings and strategy sessions for a winning proposal.
  • Collaborate with technical staff to write original content and review/edit content for clarity, compliance, and key messages.
  • Research, gather, and edit proposal materials, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with graphic design staff to produce materials that effectively communicate the strategic vision for proposals.
  • Lead and maintain pursuit capture plans, executing marketing efforts on large, multi-disciplinary pursuits.
  • Organize and coach technical staff in the presentation phase of a pursuit, including slide development and rehearsals.
  • Support account/client management teams by preparing materials for meetings and participating in strategic growth initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of essential marketing data, including CRM information, resumes, and project descriptions.
  • Partner with and mentor other marketing team members to share best practices.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds and resources.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with professional services marketing and pursuit development, preferably in the A/E/C industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong critical thinking and marketing strategy development abilities.
  • Possess a strategic mindset and the ability to develop and manage strategic capture plans.
  • Superior organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple projects and lead diverse teams towards positive outcomes.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in completing tasks.
  • Proficiency in grammar, punctuation, and proofing for business writing.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, marketing, communications, business, journalism, or a closely related field.
