About the position

The Senior Consultant will lead the implementation of the Charles River Investment Management Solution (CRIMS), focusing on defining client requirements, configuring the application, training users, and ensuring a smooth transition to live operations. This role is crucial for delivering tailored investment management solutions to clients in the financial industry, leveraging emerging technologies like AI and Blockchain.

Responsibilities

  • Lead or directly contribute to CRIMS implementations.
  • Analyze and evaluate client requirements while providing product expertise throughout the implementation project.
  • Ensure solutions meet customer business needs and prepare them for ownership post go-live.
  • Assist Professional Services team members and develop best practices.
  • Analyze customer requirements to respond to sales opportunities and prepare sales presentations.
  • Execute proof-of-concept projects to demonstrate CRIMS capabilities to potential customers.
  • Educate customers on CRIMS methodologies and functionality, advising on best practices for implementation and operation.
  • Monitor customer requirements to identify potential enhancements to Charles River solutions.
  • Document and communicate product improvements based on customer-specific projects or market trends.
  • Contribute to software quality by communicating defects to Client Support and Product Management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the financial industry, preferably in consultancy or software vendor roles.
  • Experience leading the implementation of Front, Middle, or Back Office Investment Management systems.
  • Hands-on experience with post-trade workflows and trade confirmation platforms.
  • Experience with middle-office workflows and security life cycle events.
  • Experience implementing investment management software, especially order management and compliance systems.
  • Business Systems Analyst experience/skillset is preferred.
  • Proficiency with SQL is required.
  • Understanding of multi-tier technical architectures and relational database structures is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to build effective relationships with clients.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey plans and issues clearly.
  • Strong time management skills to manage multiple projects in parallel.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
