About the position

As a Senior Consultant - UX/UI Designer at Capco, you will leverage your strong user-centered design skills to create modern, elegant, and intuitive digital experiences tailored for our financial services clients, including those in banking, capital markets, and wealth management. You will be part of Capco Digital, the innovation hub of our company, where we focus on solving complex problems through a combination of fintech approaches and emerging technologies. Your role will involve collaborating with small, agile, multidisciplinary teams on various client projects, ensuring that user-centered experiences are at the forefront of our design process. In this position, you will conduct generative user research to identify and define target customer segments and personas, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methods. You will support the conceptualization of new digital experiences by creating prototypes at various levels of fidelity and contribute to the experience definition through customer journey maps, user flow diagrams, information architecture models, wireframes, and other early-stage deliverables. Your participation in client workshops will be crucial, as you will seek input from clients regarding user experience concepts and clarify experiential requirements. Your responsibilities will also include creating high-fidelity UI designs and collaborating closely with development teams and client stakeholders to ensure clear communication regarding interaction and accessibility specifications. You will perform UX writing as necessary to enhance the usability of your designs and create and manage smart, extensible Design Systems that align with clients' brand playbooks across digital channels. Additionally, you will conduct usability testing to ensure enthusiastic adoption of your designs by end users, and travel as necessary to engage with clients and their customers.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct moderated and unmoderated usability testing to ensure enthusiastic adoption by end users.
  • Travel as necessary to visit clients and their customers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of UX design experience producing engaging, usable, and effective design solutions using user-centric principles.
  • A portfolio of work representing your experience and talent.
  • Excellent visual design aesthetic and skill with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of UX and interaction design principles across responsive web and native mobile experiences.
  • General understanding of Agile software delivery methodologies and practices.
  • Self-supplied curiosity and passion to learn about new technologies and UX/design trends.
  • High level of proficiency with UX and UI design tools (e.g. Figma, Framer, Sketch, Adobe CS, Mural/Miro).
  • Understanding of how to design accessible experiences (conforming to WCAG/Section 508).
  • Experience planning and conducting user research activities using qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Ability to quickly synthesize and draw actionable insights from research activities.
